Today, by the grace of God alone, Chandler is a husband, father, grandfather, mentor, author, teacher and life coach of the truth that continues to change his life. Through Hope Prison Ministries, the non-profit organization he founded and continues to operate, he is actively engaged in the evangelization and discipleship of men in prison and in their aftercare. But it hasn’t always been this way.
Chandler became a Christian when he was incarcerated more than 20 years ago. Today, he is a member of the Association of Biblical Counselors, a licensed life and health insurance agent, an approved volunteer in the Texas Department of Corrections, and he has served as a mentor to at-risk youth through Texas ChalleNGe Academy, a program of the Texas National Guard. He is married to Barbara and they have two children, Brandon, and two grandchildren from their daughter, Shelly.
Chandler’s ministry efforts were recently featured in the 7-minute short film, Convicted, by LuminDeo, and you are encouraged to watch it below…
