Tom Evans has 25 plus years of service in the non-profit arena as direct care staff beginning in 1984, licensed residential treatment administrator, licensed clinical counselor, and school superintendent. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling in 1989. Mr. Evans also served in a volunteer capacity as Chaplain to residents and staff at Azleway Boys Ranch from 1992 to 2001. Other volunteer positions include multiple Board leadership roles for a variety of state level associations and local organizations. Tom is married and has two children and currently employed as an independent insurance agent and Business Consultant.
(Tom was a counselor at the Lena Pope Children’s Home when Chandler was a resident there. Years later, Chandler and Tom remain friends, and Chandler had the pleasure of watching the impact Tom had on another young man when he and Tom were visiting a prison and a young man from Azleway embraced him and started crying, thanking him for his care and concern so many years ago. All of Tom’s education and life experience have prepared him to coach men to become all that God wants them to be.)
